Composite Tail Rotor Blades for Bell 206 JetRangers Fitted with New Bearings | Air Services Int'l., LLC
The AMT-206-1 composite tail rotor blade is a direct replacement for Bell 206A and 206B series helicopter tail rotor blades. Now fitted with a new style of feathering bearings manufactured by KAMATICS. These bearings provide a longer life expectancy, with a patented lining that provides lighter pedal loads and a higher level of chemical resistance, compared to that of the standard fabric Teflon-lined bearings.
The AMT-206-1 tail rotor blade has a non-symmetrical airfoil section and incorporates a swept tip. The T/R Blade is primarily fabricated from uni-directional Graphite (carbon fiber) and Aramid (Kevlar™) continuous fibers suspended in an epoxy matrix and is fitted with a nickel abrasion strip on the leading edge. The abrasion strip is bonded on using a urethane adhesive.
The AMT-206-1 composite tail rotor blades have a 30% cost advantage, twice the lifespan, higher strength and thrust, and a substantial noise reduction, making them safer and ideal for helicopter operators flying in noise-sensitive areas like national parks and built-up areas.

Argentina cuenta desde hace varios años con los datos provistos por una red de doble polarización, que integra 12 de estos radares desplegados por todo el territorio nacional. El RMA se puede configurar para escanear la atmósfera a una distancia de hasta 480 km del radar, 360 grados en acimut, barriendo desde 2° por debajo del horizonte hasta los 92° en elevación.
